TODAY IT FINALLY DAWNED ON ME THAT I SOON WILL BE GONE LESS THAN THREE WEEKS NOW TO LONDON. AND BEYOND. WHAT AN OYSTER. ANY TRAVEL TIPS FOR THIS BEHEMOTH CITY?
Don't attempt to do topshop on a Saturday or anytime after 3 for that matter, bedlam, i waited for like 30 mins to get a shoes to try on, just to realise i needed a bigger size and had to line up all over again. :( especially if your like me, was my first time visit, I seriously have never seem so many people.
If you leave london and are travelling hit the antique shops, they have some really stunning pieces of jewellery for reasonable prices, but london the price jacked up
ohhh and don't bother looking for a ham cheese and tomato sandwich. Sounds odd but they sell premade sandwich everywhere and they are great if your shopping all day like I was, I didn't have to stop for too long to eat. But for the life of me i couldn't find anywhere that sells all three together.
Mickys fish and chips is the bomb!

How long will you be in London? So much to see and do there. Pretty much all the galleries and museums are free etc so there is heaps to do on a rainy day (and there are so many of those).
There are amazing markets all over - portabello road in notting hill is madness on a saturday, but well worth battling the crowds, up ladbroke grove end there is heaps of vintage clothes and boots etc. My fave are spitalfields and petticoat lane markets, right near liverpool st station and Brick lane - awesome way to spend a day on a saturday and then go for a curry and a drink on Brick lane after (make sure you haggle).
Great vintage stores around that area too but some are quite expensive (although the exchange rate is awesome at the moment).
On a sunny day just get out and have a picnic, London comes alive when the sun shines, they just appreciate it so much! Primrose hill is a great spot that overlooks the city, Greenwich is like a lreally cute little town - great big park, and they have markets too.
Ahhh I miss London! But I don't miss the weather - take an umbrella! Have a ball
Make sure you head to East london and visit Beyond Retro. There are heaps of other amazing little stores like it in that area too. And lots and lots of amazing street art (saw banksy when I went!!) And Jes is right about Topshop... Though you should definitely go anyway!!
