BUFFET

I KNOW THIS IS RANDOM BUT THE THING THAT INSPIRED ME MOST TODAY WAS WHEN I STUMBLED UPON THE FORBES BILLIONAIRE LIST. I'VE ALWAYS FOUND IT FASCINATING, HOW PEOPLE DEAL WITH THE CONCEPT OF WEALTH AND OWNERSHIP, OF MONEY AND POWER,  AND THIS IS WHERE BILLIONAIRES LIVE AT THE EXTREME.  SECOND ON THE LIST WAS WARREN BUFFET.  INTRIGUED BY HIS NICKNAME "ORACLE OF OMAHA" I INVESTIGATED FURTHER AND IT REVEALED WHAT SEEMS TO BE A VERY GROUNDED AND HUMBLE MAN. HE STILL LIVES IN THE HOUSE HE BOUGHT FOR $31,000 IN 1957.
HE STILL DRIVES HIS OWN CAR. WHEN DIES HE WILL DONATE 85% OF HIS NETT WEALTH ($40 BILLION) TO CHARITY.  RATHER THAN INVEST IN HIS CHILDREN'S INHERITANCE, HE INVESTS IN THEIR FUTURE, AND THAT'S WHERE THE TRUE VALUE LIES...

"If I wanted to, I could hire 10,000 people to do nothing but paint my picture every day for the rest of my life.... but I would be keeping those 10,000 people from doing AIDS research, or teaching, or nursing."

"I want to give my kids just enough so that they would feel that they could do anything, but not so much that they would feel like doing nothing"

“Someone’s sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.”
